ADVANCED DRAWING
Sadko
Hadzihasanovic´ • Jennifer
Hinrichs • Klaas
Hendrik Hart
This program is specifically designed for students with previous
drawing experience who want to continue to create "free"
works with a variety of subject matter. Using lines, tones, texture
and colour, participants will move their drawing abilities to a
more complex field where they will explore the classical taste for
harmony without losing personal style. Addressing both the complexities
and issues surrounding still life and portrait, students will improve
their drawing skills and develop a better understanding of the discipline.

This course explores the beauty of natural order in both the human
body and pictorial composition. The class will provide a basic understanding

CREATIVE DRAWING
Lydia
Panart
This course is designed for students who wish to develop their
drawing abilities by working with different subject matter, drawing
media and techniques over a three term span. Each term will build
successively on the other. It is therefore recommended that students
attend all three terms. Students wishing to attend only the winter
or spring term should have some previous drawing skills.
Monday 12:30-3:00 pm
TERM I - Fall: $560.00
Look, Describe, Analyze, Interpret: Creative projects will lead
students to apply the elements of design, such as line, shape, form,
colour, texture and space in strong compositions. The goals are
to strengthen drawing skills, to get the most from each exercise
and to develop critical thinking.

TERM II - Winter: $435.00
People and their Surroundings: Students will explore the language
of sketching. Projects will be based on the study of people in different
contexts: at the park, at a café, at a train station, on
the street, etc. Working from life and photographs, the class will
work on portraiture, capturing facial expressions, and studying
different postures of the human figure. Perspective will be introduced
as a tool in creating the illusion of space, both outdoors and indoors.
Model fee included, materials list provided
TERM III - Spring: $470.00
Drawing Nature: Combining the skills acquired in the previous terms,
students will learn different techniques to represent nature using
