Discounts

Students who register in the fall for a minimum of one class in each of the fall, winter & spring terms will be entitled to a 5% discount off one winter & one spring class. ARAS Members in good standing receive an additional discount. Get the details.

HST

Applicable HST (13%) will be added to all classes.

Payment Plans

Payment plans can be arranged for those registering for more than one term or for those registering more than one family member in one term. Payment plans must be made through the office with post-dated cheques or pre-authorized credit card payments. Some restrictions apply. Please contact 416-961-1502, ext. 303 or email us for details.

Materials

Prices include materials, unless "materials list provided" or "download material list" is indicated. Material lists will be available for download in PDF format at least two weeks prior to the start of class. The School reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment up to one week prior to the published start date; we are not responsible for purchased art supplies.

Intro to Mosaic Art

Learn an ancient art form while exploring your creative side. This hands-on course is a great building block for those who are interested in doing larger projects in the future, or just want to experiment with the mosaic medium. You don't need to have any drawing, painting or sculpting skills to create a unique and creative art piece. Participants will learn about mosaic design, the terminology, resources and types of materials required to complete a mosaic art piece. Students will explore the fundamental techniques and create their very own, unique mosaic panel inspired by their own ideas or an image of their choosing, while utilizing a wide range of materials, grouts, adhesives and tools.

Drawing & Painting with your iPad

Now you can create a beautiful work of art without paper, paints, or even a pencil! All you need is your iPad and a little imagination. You will learn how to master a variety of brush strokes, layering techniques and how to develop your artwork into a final printed image. With just the touch of a button, you will be able to redo the parts you don't like. You can even turn your creation into a fascinating animation as you replay your creative process. What could be more fun? No more packing messy paints and brushes when you travel. Now you have an entire studio at your fingertips.

Please Note: Students must supply their own iPad, and are responsible for purchasing any apps they wish to use. Recommended apps: Bamboo Paper (free - no need to purchase stylus unless you wish to experiment), Brushes - iPad edition.
