Just a note to say how very much I enjoyed the Drawing class I took with Sarah Jane. She is a fabulous teacher and I may even repeat her class at some point. If she's typical of your teachers, then I'm really impressed with your school.

Adult students experience a warm, congenial and supportive environment to learn and create in. The large roster of programs, are designed to allow each individual to advance at his or her own pace. Each class offers a nice balance between challenging, fun, creative, and skill-based approaches. Working with professional instructors who are practicing artists, helps to inspire students and ensure the latest studio approaches are being taught.
Small class sizes allow for plenty of one-on-one attention, guidance and critique. The School boasts a real sense of community and both the novice and advanced student find programs that will enhance individual styles of learning.
Students are given various opportunities to display their work both at the School and at outside venues like galleries and restaurants. Our online gallery, Facebook page and Flickr page allows adults to showcase their work to a wider audience.
Finding ways to engage in creative activities (such as drawing, singing or acting) helps you achieve a more balanced, centred state of mind. Humans have a primal need to engage our imaginations, and if we don't, we can become depressed or disaffected. Through creative activities, we can really express who we are and see that we have unlimited choices. And you don't have to be a Picasso or Pavarotti to experience the benefits. Regardless of skill level, being creative is so absorbing that everything else that's bothering you just gets put on the back burner, and you're focused on the moment and what you're doing in that moment.
