The use of colour and painting techniques are the focus in this mixed media class. Students will create vibrant and imaginative paintings that incorporate collage and layering styles, as well as creating some unique 3-dimensional works of art. The class will playfully explore an exciting combination of tools and materials while focusing on developing painting skills. Design, colour mixing, blending, form, balance, composition and contrasts are considered, while students explore their imaginations and creativity in a supportive and fun environment.

Young artists will be introduced to exciting themes through art and drama lessons, while they create projects that will be worn, used and interacted with to develop imaginative and unique stories and characters. Students will be exposed to a variety of art materials, which will then be incorporated into storytelling, drama and creative movement.
