What we do and why

Almost 900 children between the ages of 6 and 18 have received scholarships to attend the Arts School since the School opened its doors in 1993. The Arts Scholarship Fund is proud to offer support to deserving young people who would otherwise not have the opportunity to pursue artistic excellence under the guidance of professional artists.

How you can help

It is amazing what a child feels when his or her unique, creative voice is given an outlet, and when he or she can share in the joy of creating in a positive and supportive environment. It is equally gratifying to know that you have provided a significant and beneficial opportunity for a child whose self-image and view of the world will be affected positively by attending an arts program.

Consider making a donation to the Arts Scholarship Fund and a charitable receipt will be issued. Or donate your stock in a publicly traded company and no capital gains tax will be incurred. You will receive a charitable receipt for fair market value.

How to donate

• Fill out the donation section on the Avenue Road Arts School registration form when registering for a course.
• Mail a cheque payable to The Arts Scholarship Fund to Avenue Road Arts School, 460 Avenue Road, Toronto, Ontario M4V 2J1

Interested in applying for a scholarship

To be eligible for a scholarship you must:

• Complete an application form
• Demonstrate financial need
• Show an interest and ability in one of the art disciplines
