OUR
SCHOOL REACHES OUT
The Avenue Road Arts School is expanding its outreach and community programs to ensure that the magic of children's art reaches a wider audience. Children and adults who might not have exposure to the kind of art that the school is known for, will be able to see the power of art and the benefits to individuals and the community. WORKING
WITH CHILDREN'S AID More than 75 pieces of art have been donated by the school. These include a castle, a flying futuristic bird and colourful 3- dimensional butterflies and flowers. The seven foot dinosaur "Bob" was last seen in October at our children's art exhibit A Journey Through Time, at Metro Hall. He is now grateful to find a permanent home with the Children's Aid Society.
OAC ENDOWMENT GRANT The school is launching a scholarship campaign to allow 50 deserving children per year to take classes at the school. Arts for Children of Toronto is a registered charity which issues charitable receipts. For your convenience, donations can also be made when you make your regular United Way gift by designating that an additional amount be directed to the school's scholarship fund. Donations to the fund make a significant difference to the lives of the recipients and their families. If you, or your company, would like to support our scholarship students, please contact Lola Rasminsky at the School for more information. Contributions of any size will be most appreciated.
