ARAS Statement regarding COVID-19

At the Avenue Road Arts School, we continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation. We understand that, as of today, the risk of community transmission to our staff and students remains low.

We want to assure you that we are taking every precaution to ensure that everyone who enters our space is safe and protected from any possible illnesses. There is lots of soap and hand sanitizers in each classroom as well as in the hallways, and students will be asked to wash their hands regularly and practice good hygiene. Reminder signs are up and teachers will remind young children. The surfaces in each classroom are sprayed with disinfectant after each class and toys that are used by the children will be disinfected as well.

We would also ask that, if you or your child is sick, that you refrain from coming to our programs and into the building. In this time of uncertainty, it’s best to not spread any flu-like germs, regardless of COVID-19. We will also relax our cancellation policies, in the interim, should you or your child become ill and cannot attend programs.

We hope you, and/or your child continues to value artistic and creative exploration and skill-building and thank you for choosing the Avenue Road Arts School.
