Ever wondered how old masters created such luminous paintings? This virtual classical painting class will teach traditional oil painting techniques that were used by the old masters in order to create a still life painting. We cover the purpose and mechanics of underpainting and learn how to create a still life using layering techniques. You will also gain valuable knowledge on preparing a canvas, properly using mediums, mixing colours, glazing, and scumbling. Intermediate drawing skills are recommended.
