Drawing can sooth our nervous system, sharpen our senses, and improve our concentration. For the complete beginner and those wishing to improve their drawing skills, this online class will refine your understanding of visual language through various drawing exercises. These are inspired by Betty Edward’s renowned book “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain,” an approach to drawing that is backed up by neuro-scientific research. Using graphite, charcoal, and coloured media, you’ll begin to develop your drawing and creative skills and become more confident with the tools of visual expression. You will learn how to identify and practice scale, composition, perspective and value through demonstrations and hands-on learning, as well as understand light and contrast through grey scale and colour.
