This course offers students a balance of learning the building blocks of drawing and painting, and the power of expressive application of the media. Learn to understand form, light and colour by dissecting what we see and feel. While learning how to manipulate pigment to create all types of possibilities, you will learn how to identify and practice scale, composition and brushwork, through demonstrations and hands-on learning. Begin to understand light and contrast through greyscale and colour. This online art course for beginners will be structured to prompts where students will be exposed to drawing and painting techniques, and a range of subjects inspired by a variety of artistic movements.
