In this fun and contemporary approach to painting, young artists will experiment with drawing and painting techniques while being introduced to new ways of approaching subject matter. Fresh ideas and the latest painting methods and materials will be explored. Students will be encouraged to use experimentation and be spontaneous in the development of their own painting ideas. Plenty of photo references of contemporary and modern art will be provided to illustrate how composition, balance, colour, form and symbolism make abstract and modern art paintings into powerful art pieces.
Please Note: Programs will be held at the School or off-site due to space limitations. All off-site classes will be held at the First Unitarian Congregation of Toronto, located at 175 St. Clair Avenue West. Should a class be held off-site, families will be given one week’s notice.
