Pop art is one of the major art movements of the twentieth century. This fun and eye-catching art form is characterized by utilizing popular images and icons and by incorporating themes, techniques and subject matter from comic books, advertising and product packaging. In this unique workshop, students will explore the works of famous Pop artists, like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichenstein to create their own Pop Art that reflects ideas from today’s popular culture.
Please Note: Programs will be held at the School or off-site due to space limitations. All off-site classes will be held at the First Unitarian Congregation of Toronto, located at 175 St. Clair Avenue West. Should a class be held off-site, families will be given one week’s notice.
