MIXED MEDIA EXPLORATIONS
Tear, cut, rip, paste, glue, paint, draw, assemble – CREATE! In this fun and engaging program, students will make colourful, mixed media-based masterpieces centred on the work of the great artists of past and present. From paint, fabrics, papers, canvas, string, beads, wood, recycled materials and more, kids will explore texture, collage, colour, surface design and composition while discovering the fundamentals of combining painting, collage, drawing, assemblage and printmaking. Students will learn how to mix and combine materials using the elements and principles of design to create dramatic effects. The result will be the creation of numerous one-of-a-kind colourful art pieces that show off each child’s unique personality!
Please Note: Programs will be held at the School or off-site due to space limitations. All off-site classes will be held at the First Unitarian Congregation of Toronto, located at 175 St. Clair Avenue West. Should a class be held off-site, families will be given one week’s notice.
